About Jason Kanter
I am an Integrational Psychotherapist with a private practice in New York City. Integrational Psychotherapy is a body-centered approach to psychotherapy which integrates psychotherapy with yoga and various forms of movement and bodywork.
I have extensive experience in the public and private non-profit sectors including individual, group and family therapy, vocational counseling, job development and placement services, and pre-employment and life skills training. I've worked in many and varied settings including specialized programs for adoloescents and their families, the unemployed, ex-offenders and substance abusers, as well as the physically and psychiatrically impaired and developmentally disabled, and children in foster care. My experience also includes management, policy and planning, consultation and training.
I've been teaching yoga since 1992 and have extended certification and extensive adjunct training in various body-mind therapies and modalities.
