Thoughts are powerful. They frame how we interpret our experience. We create thoughts in response to our emotions or or in response to our sensory experience. But sometimes the strategies that our minds create to problem-solve can become counterproductive, dysfunctional or potentially harmful. Thru the practice of presence we can learn to watch our thoughts and the interaction between thought, emotion and sensory experience. This process thus moves from the unconscious to the conscious mind where it can be worked with, enabling choice as to which thought(s) we would like to empower.
